AMY STANDS HER GROUND

Amy decides jumping would be suicide, so she puts all her weight up against the door. Despite her best efforts, the KILLER is inching his way through. Amy hears the sound of a car horn outside. It is the cab.

Amy: Help! I'm up here! HELP!

The KILLER stops trying to enter the bedroom and Amy hears his footsteps moving away. The car horn beeps again, longer this time. She cautiously looks through the crack in the door and can see nothing. After a moment, she hears the cabbie banging on the front door.

Amy: HELP! Please help me!!!

The doorbell rings in response. The cab driver can't hear her. She doesn't want to leave the bedroom, but has no choice.  Amy squeezes through the door opening and makes a break for it.

She is almost at the stairs, when a hand grabs her by the hair and pulls her back. Amy barely has time to scream, before the KILLER jabs his knife deep into her neck. The KILLER lets her go and Amy falls to her knees, clawing at her throat. He kicks her, and Amy goes tumbling down the stairs.

She is dead before her body comes to rest just short of the main floor landing. The cabbie knocks one more time, and then leaves.
